What does the qualification cover?
This qualification provides an ideal taster for those who may be new to the sector or new to the world of work. It aims to introduce some basic concepts of caring and preparation for employment in the sector.
The qualification covers the following areas:

- Handling information
- Health and safety
- Safeguarding

It is a must-have for anyone taking the adult Intermediate Health and Social Care apprenticeship.
Who is it suitable for?
Anyone working towards a career in adult health and social care in a supervised job role.
How many credits are required to complete it?
To achieve this qualification, you must achieve a total of 20 credits from 9 mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a portfolio of evidence.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
No, this is a knowledge-only qualification.
