Course Information

How many credits are required to complete it?

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Retail Operations, learners must achieve:

Mandatory Units – 14 credits required

Optional Units – 4 credits required

Extra cost will be incurred for units with more guided learning hours

How is it assessed?

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Retail Operations is internally assessed by learners presenting a portfolio of evidence and externally quality
assured.
Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. On completion of each unit, learners must declare that the work produced is their own. The Assessor must countersign this.


The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include (in no particular order):

  • Assessor observation – completed observational checklists and related action plans
  • witness testimony
  • learner’s proof of work
  • worksheets
  • assignments/projects/reports
  • record of professional discussion
  • record of oral and written questioning
  • learner and peer reports
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:

Attendance (virtual)

£840 may be paid in full

Option for 4 instalments for full time learners: 4 weeks of £210
Option for 9 instalments for part time learners: 9 weeks of £93.34
