Microsoft 365 Applications

This is the latest version of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification program and encompasses the latest functionalities of Microsoft 365 Apps.
It is aimed at all those who wish to work or are already working in health and social care settings in England.

How many certifications are there?

  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Microsoft Apps)
    • Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps)
    • Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps)
    • Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft 365 Apps)
    • Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft 365 Apps)

To earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Associate, you need to pass three of the above exams

  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert (Microsoft Apps)
    • Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps)
    • Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps)

To earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Expert (Microsoft 365 App), you need to pass both of the above exams

How is it assessed?

There is a 50-minute Live-in-the-Application (LITA) test that reflect real- world scenarios for each App

Do you need to be working to take the qualification?

Yes. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

Achieving this qualification

Learners are required to successfully complete the course (achieve a certificate of completion) and take the test for the certification

Progression

Learners who achieve this qualification can progress to:

  • Microsoft Certified Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE)
