Purpose of this qualification:
The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate an understanding of, and competency in, the digital literacy skills they need for life and work. It will help learners progress to engage with digital services and products in everyday life and work.
Qualification aims and objectives:
To enable learners to:
- Focus on the study of digital skills
- Offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge and skills
- Provide opportunities to acquire a number of essential digital skills
- Build digital skills for everyday life
- Build digital skills for work
Achieving this qualification:
To be awarded the Level 1 Certificate in Essential Digital Skills, you are required to successfully complete 5 mandatory units:
