Qualification combination purposes
These qualifications are based on the Care Certificate Standards and develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in adult social care settings in England. They are designed for all learners working in adult social care and are being introduced to the sector to:

Anyone who wants to work in adult health and social care.
How many credits are required to complete the combined qualifications?
How are the qualifications assessed?
The assessment will consist of two components one for each qualification: an internally assessed portfolio of evidence, assessed by us (your course tutor or assessor) and externally quality assured by the awarding body NCFE.
Do you need to be working to take this course?
Yes. A work setting is required for the collection of portfolios of evidence for both qualifications.
But if you are not working, you must find a work placement or volunteering role in a health and social care setting (before starting the course). You will be required to spend a minimum of 40 hours to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
Minimum Age
You must be 19 years old.
